Teach FLYT: Help Students Launch Their Georgia Southern Journey

FLYT Courses are foundational first‑year courses designed to support students as they transition into the academic, social, and personal expectations of college life. The course emphasizes belonging, academic mindset, and major and career exploration all grounded in research on first‑year student success.

Why Teach FLYT Courses:

  • You build early, lasting connections with new students.
  • You help students develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
  • You contribute directly to retention, belonging, and student well‑being.
  • You have the flexibility to bring your own voice, expertise, and disciplinary lens to the course.
